Da Nang Airport welcomes record passenger numbers during DIFF 2025 Grand Finale

On July 12, Da Nang came alive for the most anticipated night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF), featuring a spectacular showdown between Jiangxi Yanfeng from China and Vietnam’s Z121 Vina Pyrotech team.
In the two days leading up to the finale, Da Nang International Airport recorded a total of 336 flights. On July 12 alone, there were 165 flights, including 55 international flights - an increase of 28 compared to the average in the first half of the year. This marks a significant rise of 14 to 40 percent in flight volume compared to the same period during the 2024 festival season.

The surge in air traffic reflects the growing appeal of Da Nang as a destination. With more direct routes and steadily improving services, the airport continues to enhance the travel experience and strengthen the city’s position as a regional hub.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, more than 127,000 hotel stays were recorded during the DIFF 2025 finale period, a 38 percent increase compared to last year. International visitors reached 53,500, up by 81 percent. Citywide hotel occupancy hit 95 percent, while major tourist attractions welcomed over 183,000 visitors.
As the city lights up with fireworks and celebration, Da Nang continues to impress as a vibrant, welcoming destination and the journey for many begins right at the airport.
