Da Nang International Airport welcomes G-Dragon with a creative terminal makeover

To welcome Korean superstar G-Dragon’s return to Vietnam for his concert in Hanoi on June 21, Da Nang International Airport has set up a special decoration at Terminal 2, turning the space into a fun and creative welcome zone for travelers and fans alike.
The decoration takes inspiration from G-Dragon’s iconic daisy symbol. You can spot the flower design across the terminal from welcome banners and waiting areas to the information desk and even our PAT’s uniforms. This warm and thoughtful gesture aims to bring a little joy and excitement to every traveler passing through.
This follows the airport’s “Pink Terminal” event in 2023, when the terminal turned pink to celebrate BLACKPINK’s arrival in Vietnam. That moment created a big buzz online and made Da Nang International Airport a favorite among K-pop fans.
“We want the airport to feel more than just a transit point. It should be a place where travelers feel welcome and inspired. By creating these special welcome experiences, we connect with travelers in meaningful and memorable ways.” said by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Kieu, Head of Communications at Da Nang International Terminal.
The airport’s post “Welcome VIP. Welcome G-Dragon.” quickly gained attention on social media, with thousands of likes and comments from fans around the world. G-Dragon’s personal bodyguard - Tiger Jae-ho, even shared a thank-you message in Vietnamese on Instagram showing just how much the gesture was appreciated.
Terminal 2, where the decoration is displayed, is a Skytrax 5-star terminal. It offers not only international-standard services but also brings culture and creativity into the travel experience that makes every journey starts and ends with something special.
